General

Klein Verzet is the cycling association of the University of Twente and Saxion. The association was found in 1969 and therefore it is the oldest student cycling association of the Netherlands. Klein Verzet is affiliated with the KNWU (or Royal Dutch Cycling Association) Members of Klein Verzet (KV-ers) can be found regularly in the countryside on the road bike, mountainbike or the cyclocrosser. For every level and type of cyclist there are trainings during the whole year. Most members ride tours, but there are also people that participate in cycling competitions. There is a UT Time Trial Competition, which is a series of 3 time trials, jointly organised by Klein Verzet. Next to that, people participate in the Student Cup and NSK, which is a competition that is organised and joined by the other student associations from the Netherlands as well. Apart from these specific student-competitions, there are also some other classics that are popular within the association - in the Netherlands and across the borders.

Next to many hours of training and fun on the bike during trainings, there are also other activities organised for and by members. Every second wednesday of the month a drink in Café Friends, in the city centre. There are activities, club tournaments and (training)weekends in the Vosges, the Ardennes to get some more elevation than in Twente.
