Klein Verzet is the cycling association of the University of Twente and Saxion. The association was found in 1969 and therefore it is the oldest student cycling association of the Netherlands. Klein Verzet is affiliated with the KNWU (or Royal Dutch Cycling Association) Members of Klein Verzet (KV-ers) can be found regularly in the countryside on the road bike, mountainbike or the cyclocrosser. For every level and type of cyclist there are trainings during the whole year. Most members ride tours, but there are also people that participate in cycling competitions.

Besides the many hours of serious training and the camaraderie on the bikes during training sessions, we also organize other activities for and by our members. To connect with each other off the bike, we have drinks every second Wednesday of the month at Café Friends. We also organize activities, club tournaments, and (cycling) weekends. For example, every year around twenty KV members travel to the Vosges Mountains for Ascension Day weekend to climb a few beautiful peaks. We also organize an introductory cycling weekend in October to close out the outdoor season!

Summer trainings

In the summer, we organize tours, mountain bike training sessions, and competitions! If that's not enough, you can always meet up again.

Winter trainings

In the winter, we organize two training sessions. Once a week, we do a running session at the UTrack on campus, and then we do an indoor cycling session at the Sports Center!

Beside trainings

Of course, our program doesn't stop outside the training sessions. We have drinks once a month, we go bowling, we play pool, and we have fun weekend trips to places like the Vosges mountains!
